| "Sport" was brought to my farm after his elderly, previous owner was no longer financially able to provide for him and his other horsey brothers. I have had all their teeth, shots, coggins and shoeing done. And have put about 90 days of training on them.
Sport has excelled since day one and is incredibly scopey and brave to the jumps. He does great on trails and loves attention and being a part of the conversation. You can call crawl, hang all over him, do whatever you want!! He has a great head on his shoulders.
We recently spent 10 days in Venice, Fl at the Fox Lea Farm summer show series, which is a A rated show. Sport competed in the training jumpers, thoroughbred hunters and low equitation. ( he has a USEF #)He never missed a beat or batted an eye, mind you this was his first horse show EVER. I would love to see him go to a someone who will love and spend time with him developing his skills further.
Sport is being sold as a PROSPECT. We train horses for a living and by no means is he up to my standard as finished. But I do feel comfortable saying that he is safe and with the basics we have given him, an advanced beginner will be more then capable of handling him. We have started on his lead changes and they are about 70% there, he always gives us the front sometimes misses his back.
Due to the state he was in when he came here, Sport does still needs some groceries and we are working hard to put them on him. I have successfully rehomed all the others except his full brother who I am keeping and so far everyone is thrilled with these horses. These are very athletic horses with good minds ( not like my past experiences with OTTB).
Price is negotiable to approved home. Would also consider a trade for a registered AQHA mare or young AQHA prospect ( cow bred) . |
